Equity raising, preparation for and listing on the stock exchange

Danish companies have generally experienced strong growth over the past years. Tapping the existing opportunities in the markets in Denmark and globally will often require considerable investments. It may be necessary to finance such investments fully or partly by equity.

Historically, such equity investments have been provided by a limited number of professional investors. In recent years, the number of active private equity investors in Denmark has grown considerably and the broad-based equity investment culture has provided companies in need of equity capital with a wider range of financing options.

OMX The Nordic Exchange is an alternative mainly for larger Danish companies whereas smaller and medium-sized companies have had limited options. In 2005, OMX The Nordic Exchange introduced a new market place for smaller and medium-sized companies called First North as an alternative to the traditional way of raising new equity for companies whose shares are traded on an official market place.

DMC advises Danish companies in need of external equity: whether the aim is capital raising from a limited number of investors, fully or partly from DMC, or through a public listing on OMX The Nordic Exchange, or First North.

In cooperation with a wide range of financial institutions,  DMC is able to offer research coverage by equity analysts, sale of shares and market making agreements in connection with stock exchange listings, new issues and advisory services related to the stock exchange.

Stock exchange advisory services also include preparation and structuring of the listing. Through previous employments the persons behind the inception of DMC have participated in several share issues, block trades and delistings for large and medium-sized companies.

DMC also offers advisory services on the maturity and timing as well as the selection of advisors in situations that call for international bank networks.

In such situations, DMC will not necessarily be part of the bank syndicate or play an active role in the sale of the shares. Instead, DMC will act as sparring partner to the owner, the board and the management on issues related to the listing process, the selection of advisors etc.
